Rilee Park Trail Restoration

Join us on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM for a hands-on volunteer morning at Rilee Park on Parrett Mountain. We’ll be clearing brush, maintaining trails, and working together to care for this treasured public space. Everyone is welcome—no trail work experience needed!

This event brings together hikers, cyclists, equestrians, and nature lovers from across the community - including youth volunteers from the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). These middle and high school student-athletes have logged hundreds of hours maintaining Rilee Park’s trails and are proud to lead by example in giving back.

• Check-In between 8:30 - 9:00 AM at the yellow farmhouse: 10500 NE Parrett Mountain Rd, Newberg, OR
• Trail leaders will provide tools, gloves, and training
• Work will include trail brushing, light maintenance, and debris clearing
• Enjoy a welcoming atmosphere and a chance to connect with a diverse community of trail stewards

• Wear long sleeves, pants, and sturdy closed-toe shoes
• Bring a water bottle, sun protection, and optional snacks
• All tools and gloves will be provided (but bring your own if you have them)

Rilee Park is a 325-acre park with deep historical roots and a bright future shaped by community volunteers. Your time helps keep the trails open, safe, and accessible for everyone. Whether you’re a longtime trail user or new to volunteering, your contribution makes a real difference!

NICA student-athletes embody the spirit of stewardship and teamwork, reminding us that trail care is about more than recreation - it's about selfless service. Join them, and others from the community, to help preserve a space that brings people together outdoors.
