You are invited to join Richard J. Morgan as he speaks with Gathering Volumes about his memoir, "Tales from the Hump."
Growing up in the American heartland in the 60's was so much different from growing up today. This book takes you on a journey as the author goes from first grade up until middle school, spanning almost the entire decade. Consisting of a series of short essays about riding bikes, playing games, traveling, fishing, family life, and more, you will be taken back 60 years, to what small town life was back in the day.
Born and raised in Port Clinton, Ohio, Richard Morgan then spent 35 years as a chemistry and physics teacher in a neighboring school system, also serving as track and cross country coach. He has two daughters, Sara and Emma. He has been a keyboard musician for over 30 years in rock bands, praise bands, and other groups. After retirement he moved back to Port Clinton in 2015, coincidentally into the same house he grew up in. He and his wife Jeanne have been married since 2016.
