Return of the Bald Eagle at 12:30 p.m.

· Registration available through February 5.*

· Free, but limited to 40 people (recommended for ages 12 and up).

· Paynetown State Recreation Area: Service Area (across from Deer Run Shelter)

* Walk-up attendees welcomed on a first-come first-served basis for any OPEN seats.

By 1900, Bald Eagles had abandoned Indiana due to extensive habitat loss and were further threatened by the pesticide DDT. But in the early 1990s, Monroe Lake was home to an ambitious wildlife program that aimed to return this bird to our skies.
