Swan Michelle is a CEYAP Continuing Education Yoga Alliance Provider. This will count as further education with YA.
Join Swan Michelle for three days of Restorative Teacher Training. You will learn to properly navigate through the use of all props for a pure and classical Restorative Yoga Class as it was originally developed.
Restorative Yoga applies the use of bolsters, blankets, straps, blocks, sandbags and more in long held, low to the earth, therapeutic in nature regeneration. It is for all demographics as a deceleration of a fast paced life or aging process, bringing homeostasis and accessibility to any age, capability, injury, sickness, or level of anxiousness, depression, low immune system, compromised emotional state, mood swings and heightened nervous system.
This course is also for those that simply want to understand how to correctly and creatively set up poses and props, with a description and an experience of the therapy, background, science, contraindications, safety and repair of our biology. This training will both benefit your health and empower you to teach restorative yoga correctly with impeccable care.
Students who complete this course are certified as a Restorative Yoga Teacher. According to Yoga Alliance standards this course is considered continuing education for teachers with a current 200hr or 500 hr certification and will count as 8hrs of Yoga Alliance continuing education.
This training also serves not only those wishing to teach Restorative Yoga with integrity but also all students, as it supplies empowering tools to distill and unwind consciously. It is also an upgrade to current teachers that may want clear direction to more modification choices and awareness of safety to compromised or changing bodies in all classroom settings.
You will learn to properly:1. Set up props and understand their use 2. Modify all poses according to different bodies3. Understand the science, anatomy, subtle body, physical, mental and emotional benefits of each pose4. Relate to Restorative Yoga as Therapy to address specific ailments5. Create atmosphere, safety and eagle eye contra-indications6. Relate the anatomy of specific pose types to their function on the body with a break down of Corpse Pose, Backbends, Inversions, Twists, Forward Folds and Hip Openers7. Subtle Body discussion & experience of the regenerative, meditative state8. Sequence mindfully, creatively, and safely in applying Therapeutic sequencing ideas
This training will grant you a Yoga Alliance CE Certification from which to teach restorative yoga as a supplement to your YTT or to share these conscious, ageless stillness based practices with others.
***This training includes an in depth photo album training manual for epic ongoing reference.
Tickets: $325
