An mini retreat of Restorative Yoga, Reiki & Yoga Nidra to allow your body & mind a chance to rest and relax before the festive rush, followed by a hot drink and some yummy goodies.Restorative Yoga allows your body and mind a chance to deeply relax, as we use props to support the body in poses for an extended period of time. Our parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated when we relax into poses, which promotes a relaxation response and reduces stress in our bodies.
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, activating the natural healing processes of the patient's body to restore physical and emotional well-being.
Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation”. It’s usually practiced lying down with a teacher guiding the session. The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium – the breath balances and becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness.
