Resin Jewelry Making Workshop

This hands-on workshop invites participants into the vibrant world of resin jewelry making. Designed for a welcoming, low-pressure environment, the session focuses on building creative confidence through every step of the process—from initial design and color mixing to the final cured piece.

What to expect:

• Hands-on Creation: Learn the fundamentals of resin casting to create personal, wearable art.
• Skill-Building: Master the techniques of working with resin, pigments, and pressed flower.
• Community Connection: Share a creative experience with fellow makers in a supportive space that encourages self-expression.

Participants will leave with a finished, one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry and the inspiration to continue their creative journey at home.

Workshops are recommended for people ages 12 and over. Children under 12 years old are welcome with parent/guardian supervision. Please get a ticket for each person (incl. all children).

The workshop is admission by donation! Suggested $20 - $30 to support facilitator fees and supplies.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:

I am Viola Kazemi, a jewelry artisan and the founder of GOLAAB. I specialize in crafting wearable art that bridges the gap between historical heritage and contemporary design.

Inspired by the meaning of Golaab (Rosewater), my work focuses on the delicate preservation of beauty. I am passionate about upcycling the "live parts" of vintage jewelry and reimagining traditional patterns through modern mediums like resin and polished metals.

Alcove Centre for the Arts (alcoveartscentre.ca) is a non-profit organization based in Calgary, AB which aims to make art more accessible and promote a vibrant local arts industry. We curate and cultivate community art spaces for Calgarians to engage in art and creativity while building a platform for emerging local artists.

Alcove is a Recreational Art Space open to the public providing free art supplies and instruments to stimulate creativity. The space also acts as a gathering place for workshops, community events, and social meetups. Come visit and get creative!
