Kids’ Sketch & Watercolor (Ages 5+)

Welcome to Kui's private art class for kids and up+, to learn sketching, watercolor, black-white, portrait and more!

Small size class: Kui's art class is like private lessons in a group setting. He walks around the room and help them master new techniques and complete their project. It's a fun and safe way to learn, create and improve skills in becoming a young artist. Students in Kui's class (max 4 person) are given individually focused instructions on sketching, watercolor, oil painting, guash, acrylic, black-white and portrait. Small class sizes ensures tailored feedback and instruction.

Who it's for: This class is designed for ages 5 to 17, with no prior drawing or painting experience required. For your registration, you may select one type of class: Watercolor, Sketching, or Drawing for Juniors (recommended for children ages 10 and under, with a focus on foundational drawing techniques and color exploration).

All the classes are held at Kui's private house/studio (Address: #16-4740 Dalton Dr. NW Calgary AB, Canada). Supplies are not included in the price. After registration, you’ll receive an email with a list of required and recommended materials to bring.

Monthly admission is open at Kui's art classes. After your first class, you will have the option to continue your art journey with Kui by taking class on a weekly basis. You can pay monthly tuition fee to Kui via e-transfer. In case you miss a class, you will have opportunity to drop in another class at another time of the month.

About the artist: Kui is a professional artist and an experienced art teacher based in Calgary Canada, whose works have been widely exhibited on a national level, as well as in his native country China. Relationships between people, and between humans and nature have always fascinated him. Kui is passionate about portraying these themes using lines and colors in various media. Through water-based painting materials, he masters time, moisture, and shades of colors in his expressive pieces. In addition, he also employs traditional Chinese calligraphy techniques through oil. Kui's art class offers opportunity for art lovers of all ages to create and appreciate visual art in a safe and fun environment.
