Resilience in Real Estate: A Safety Workshop
🏡 You host an open house by yourself.
🤝 You meet an online lead for the very first time.
If you're a real estate professional, these aren't unusual situations—they're part of the job. But they're also some of the moments when many agents feel the most vulnerable.
In fact, hosting an open house is consistently reported as the most common situation where real estate professionals fear for their safety. Yet many of us have never received formal training on how to recognize danger, set boundaries, or respond if something doesn't feel right.
That's why the Women's Council of REALTORS® Seattle Metro and the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance – Western Washington have partnered to bring you an afternoon focused on something every real estate professional deserves: the confidence to stay safe while doing the work you love.
🛡️ Resilience in Real Estate: A Safety Workshop & Community Fundraiser
📅 Tuesday, July 28, 2026🕜 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM PDT📍 Mercer Island Community Center8236 SE 24th St, Mercer Island, WA 98040
This is much more than a self-defense class.
Our featured workshop, "YOU Are Worth Fighting For!", is led by Jaime Freeman, owner of Resilience Northwest. With more than 23 years of experience in martial arts, boxing, and empowerment self-defense, Jaime specializes in helping people build both physical skills and mental resilience.
During this interactive workshop, you'll learn:
✅ How to improve your situational awareness and recognize potential risks before they escalate.
✅ Practical boundary-setting techniques designed specifically for the way real estate professionals work.
✅ De-escalation strategies that can help diffuse tense situations.
✅ Simple, hands-on self-defense techniques that are realistic, effective, and easy to remember.
Whether you're brand new to the industry or have decades of experience, you'll leave with practical skills, greater confidence, and a renewed sense of empowerment.
❤️ This event is also an opportunity to give back.
Thanks to our generous sponsors, 100% of registration proceeds and all funds raised through our on-site raffle will benefit The More We Love, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing outreach, housing navigation, and critical support services to unhoused individuals throughout our community.
