We had a fabulous first nature retreat in the spring, so it's time for the fall version! The focus this time will be on creating a space to relax and recharge, while spending quality time with ourselves, nature, and other big-hearted humans. This event is a lovely collaboration between Sunday Assembly Atlanta and Ashley Silfra, LLC.
Take a few hours or a few days to step out of your normal, self-reflect, and connect with yourself and others. All activities come from a secular foundation and are evidence-based, trauma-informed, and experiential.
This time, we'll be headed to Chattahoochee Bend State Park. We have the one and only Adirondack Group site, which is super awesome. There are four Adirondack shelters, which are three-sided buildings with a roof, a floor, and is screened on the front. This means no tents are needed, as there will be plenty of space in the shelters. There is a common area in the middle of the campground which has a grill, picnic tables, and a fire ring with surrounding benches. A compost toilet and a water spigot is located near the designated parking area at the top of the hill. It is a short walk down a hill from the parking to the group site. Bringing an RV/van/trailer and sleeping in the parking area is an option, if that is preferred. Note that this camping area does not have electricity or showers, though those are available elsewhere in the park.
Spaces are limited (15 total), so save your spot now! We will coordinate food and travel and other details as the retreat gets closer.
This is a cost-accessible experience, with several tracks available: To cover the cost of food and the group site, there is a base cost of $50/person. There will be the option later on to add individual and group coaching sessions before, during, and after the retreat, as a way to deepen your experience, community, and insights. More info will be provided on this option in late summer. If cost is prohibitive, reach out to Ashley to learn about scholarship opportunities.
