The Inner Heart of Reiki
Inspired by Taggart King, Frank Arjava Petter and Frans Stiene, I have undertaken my own personal journey into the true essence of Reiki. King, Petter and Steine have researched and returned to the original tradition, also traveling to Japan to return to the original principles of Reiki as created by the founder of Reiki Dr Mikao Usui.
Reiki has evolved into something very different since it was introduced to West.
While Reiki has developed into a modality mainly focusing upon helping others to heal themselves, this level one training focuses upon one's own inner journey as aligned with the original intention developed by Dr Mikao Usui.
Reiki is a practice and way of life. It is a pathway to self realisation and enlightenment, becoming the foundations of one's daily life to live with more presence, awareness, compassion, heart centredness, non attachment and more BEing.
Living simply, accepting of what is, responding more rather than re-acting and making choices without expectation is part of living Reiki.
My intention is to walk this journey with anyone who has an interest in Reiki and who would like to embark upon a simple framework to explore, experience and integrate Reiki as a way of life.

As part of this full day training (with half day follow up one month later) you will become attuned to Reiki to enable you to connect to and channel Reiki energy.
You will learn about the history of Reiki, what it is and the benefits it provides. There will be a mixture of practical work involved and opportunities for discussion and feedback. This is to ensure that you feel confident in your personal practice.
You will also learn about other ways in which Reiki can be used and how to work with Reiki energy on a daily basis to enhance your own development.
As part of the training you will receive a comprehensive manual and a certificate upon completion of the 21 Day practice following the training day.
There are a maximum of six places available, as I work with small groups to ensure that everyone receives the individual support, guidance and attention required.
After the workshop you will be required to carry out a 21 day practice and keep a journal documenting your experiences and insights. I will remain on hand to provide ongoing support for your development.
Reiki is a journey of personal growth and development. Should you wish to progress further, you can continue your personal Reiki journey with me up to Master Teacher level.
At level one you are able to practice on yourself, your friends and family, however you are not able to practice on the general public and provide treatments for monetary exchange until you complete Level 2.

About Karen
My Reiki journey began in 2011 when I experienced a period of ill health. Working with energy and developing a practice has had a profound effect on my life, both in terms of my health and wellbeing and self awareness.
I completed Reiki Master / Teacher Level in 2015 and progressed on my personal exploration, later qualifying as a meditation teacher, laughter yoga leader, Heart Based Tantra Teacher, Empowerment coach, Women's Circle Facilitator and Cacao Ceremony Facilitator.
My exploration didn't end there! I left the UK in 2018, travelling for five months around South East Asia, participating in and experiencing a wide range of trainings and modalities, while embarking upon a deep personal journey of reflection and empowerment.
My life long commitment to deep personal inner work guided me to further learning and direct experience while living in Shropshire, Ireland and Spain.
My ongoing personal and professional development practices have included Energy Alignment Method, Create Your Destiny, Shamanic practices and training in the foundations of Sharmanism (to name a few)
I have studied a range of philosophies, religions and non duality teachings along with scientific theories to integrate a broad and balanced perspective of the nature of reality.
This year I returned to Leek. Staffordshire to focus upon bringing the knowledge, skills and experiences of the past 9 years to my home town and to focus on creating community. It was in March 2025 that I co-founded Shambala Community Space - A place of peace with Veerji Hasyananda and Jazzalina Garcia.
My ongoing commitment is to be of service to my local community, to assist others to live their passion and purpose, and to find the inner peace that exists within.
