The History of the Red Tent is a story of ancient times, when women would gather monthly in the Red Tent. The maidens, mothers, and matrons all coming together as equals to share their stories, wisdom, joy and pain. Before artificial lighting and birth control, our bodies' cycles were in sync and we bled with the dark moon. But today, the majority of us are completely disconnected from our cyclical nature and each other. BUT WE DO NOT HAVE TO DO THIS ALONE! We hold this sacred space to gather, connect, and witness each other as we embrace all the gifts that is WOMAN.
Profound strength and wisdom can be shared and cultivated when we gather.
Wear comfy clothes. Bring a journal, pen, and an open heart! Feel free to bring snacks for yourself or to share. It's important to ground before driving home. Perhaps widen the circle by bringing another woman!
Hosts:
Tiffany Johnson is sharing her medicine, sacred Chai Tea, passed down from teacher to student as an alchemizing aid for meditation. A perfect remedy for fall and winter seasons, have a cup or two as we learn all about how its prepared, its ingredients, and how they alchemize the body to prepare us for mediation.
Emily Zong brings her Bhakti, devotional practice, of both Music and Movement. Dance Sing and Breathe your stories/prayers with Conscious Movement Meditation, Pranayama, and Vocalization, and at the end, enjoy stillness, experiencing the depths of your fullness!
