Reconsider is hosting a free screening of “Stories of Transformation”, a series of documentary short films that showcases the profound journeys of individuals as they navigate their way from trauma to healing through the transformative potential of psychedelics.The screening will take place on May 30, 2024 at 7pm at DENIZEN Theater in New Paltz, New York (located at Water Street Market - 10 Main Street, Suite 501, New Paltz, NY 12561).
Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion with the subjects of the films moderated by Stephen Apkon & Marcina Hale (Co-Founders of Reconsider).
The screening is FREE with a suggested donation to support the efforts of Reconsider. Reservations for "Stories of Transformation" are available online at denizentheatre.org

These films will showcase the stories of a retired FDNY 9/11 firefighter, a retired NYPD detective, a former middle school principal, and an Army Veteran who have all experienced profound mental and physical healing through these medicines. Psilocybin and other psychedelic medicines have shown promise in clinical research for their potential to address depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, and other physical and mental health challenges, offering new avenues for treatment.

"This event offers a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue about the potential benefits of psilocybin and other psychedelic medicines in addressing today’s mental health crises."
