Join us for a special evening celebration bringing together stroke survivors, families and carers from across the UK.
This is a relaxed and supportive space to connect with others, hear real experiences, and explore life after stroke together.
Whether your stroke was recent or many years ago, you’re welcome.
What to expect
The evening includes:
- A three-course meal
- Music and entertainment
- A 1990s themed quiz
- Time to connect with others
Speaker
Ranj Parmar – Chair of Trustees
Ranj had a stroke at 39 following a sudden subarachnoid haemorrhage.
Although his recovery was good, he continues to live with fatigue and ongoing effects. After his stroke, he became aware of how isolating life after stroke can feel, especially as a younger person.
He went on to help create a local peer support group and is now Chair of Different Strokes. He is passionate about the power of peer support and believes no one should feel alone after stroke.
Food Information
You will be asked about dietary requirements and your meal choice at booking.
The evening menu is:
Starters:
o Chicken liver pate served with onion jam, dressed leaves and toasted brioche
o Tomato and mozzarella salad drizzled with aged balsamic and pesto (v)
Mains:
o Grilled chicken breast served with chicken gravy (gf)
o Butternut squash risotto with toasted pine nuts and a vegan cheese crisp (ve, gf)
Desserts:
o Deep dish apple pie served with crème Anglaise (v)
o Chocolate and coconut tart served with coconut ice cream (ve, gf)
Additional Information
- A photographer will be present. Please let us know on arrival if you prefer not to be photographed
- Free parking is available on site
- Accessible parking spaces are available near the entrance (not reservable)
