This event brings together our community to connect, share experiences, and celebrate how far we’ve come.
You’ll be part of both the daytime conference and the evening celebration.
Daytime Conference
A supportive space with:
- Lived experience talks and Q&A
- Keynote speaker Sheila Chingono
- Breakout sessions
- Time to connect with others
- Exhibition area
Breakout Sessions
You will be asked to choose two sessions when booking.
Options include:
- Living with aphasia
- Exercise
- Post-stroke fatigue
- Post-stroke identity
- Vision boards
- Caring for a stroke survivor
- Legal advice
Keynote Speaker
Sheila Chingono
Sheila had a stroke at 32 and has gone on to speak openly about recovery, challenging the idea that stroke only affects older people.
Evening Celebration
A relaxed evening including:
- Three-course meal
- Music and entertainment
- 1990s themed quiz
- Talk from Ranj Parmar
Speaker
Ranj Parmar – Chair of Trustees
Ranj had a stroke at 39 and is now Chair of Different Strokes. He is passionate about peer support and helping others feel less alone.
Food and Support
- Lunch is provided during the day
- Evening meal choices will be collected in advance
