The course will cover:
*Why challenge divisive ideologies through dialogue?
*Factors driving the rise of the far right
*Myths about Migration
*What are the real causes of insecure work and insecure housing?
*Speaking to workers about their concerns
The training is delivered by the General Federation of Trade Unions Educational Trust, in collaboration with Stand Up to Racism, Anti-Racist Movement, ACORN, Living Rent, the economics department at SOAS, University of London, and data modelling organisation Bombe.io.
The training will draw on new data produced by the GFTU in collaboration with machine learning and AI data modelling company Bombe.io on factors driving the rise of the Far Right.
This data includes:
*Postcode-level mapping of support for the Far Right.
*Key drivers behind that support – including social media influences, news sources and wider social attitudes.
*Current concerns about immigration– what’s fuelling them and why.
