Raptors Through the Lens – April 18th 10.00 – 4.00Bird of Prey Photography Day – Capture the Wild Up Close
Enjoy a day in the fresh air and immerse yourself in the beauty and power of our magnificent birds of prey. Whether you’re an experienced photographer or an enthusiastic beginner, this is your chance to capture stunning images in a beautiful setting.
Our experienced falconers have been running dedicated photography days for many years and know exactly how to position each bird to give you incredible photographic opportunities. Throughout the morning, you’ll photograph a variety of species set against beautiful, natural backdrops.
Capture iconic British birds including the Barn Owl, Kestrel and Red Kite in meadows, hedgerows, woodland settings and alongside charming vintage farm machinery. You’ll also have the opportunity to photograph some of our breath-taking larger birds, including the majestic American Bald Eagle and African Fish Eagle, along with many other impressive species.
In the afternoon, get ready for action. Photograph birds in flight as our falconer flies them towards you, giving you the chance to capture dramatic, close-up action shots. You’ll also enjoy one of our spectacular flying displays, featuring a range of Owls, Hawks, Eagles and Falcons in motion — perfect for dynamic and unforgettable images.
Event Details:
Arrival: 9:45am (for a prompt 10:00am start)
Finish: 4:00pm
Includes buffet lunch with tea and coffee served in our tea room
Please note: our falconers are not photography tutors. They are there to provide exceptional access to the birds and are always happy to help you position yourself for the best possible shot.
