Rainscaping 101: Gardening for Stormwater Management

A collaboration of the Sustainability and Green Space Advisory Commissions, the free event is planned for Monday, February 23 at Webster Groves City Hall in the Council Room.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the presentation at 7 p.m. The featured speaker is Taylor Heuermann of the EarthWays Center, a division of the Missouri Botanical Garden. Heuermann will present on the benefits of rainscaping and ways to implement stormwater management practices at home.
The Missouri Botanical Garden administers two programs to offer technical and financial support to landowners installing rainscaping. The Deer Creek Watershed Alliance Rainscaping Cost-Share Program and the MSD Rainscaping Small Grants Program will both be open for applications in February.
