Event: SLAMTA SONATINA FESTIVAL for strings and pianoStudents play one piece by memory in front of a judge for comments and ratings. The ratings are Superior, Excellent and Good. Superior receives a medal, Excellent receives a ribbon, and all receive a certificate.

9:20 am-3:30 pm for piano
12:30 pm - 3:30 pm for strings

Alternate date:
Saturday, February 21, 2026,
2:00 pm-4:30 pm for piano only. Acceptable reasons to be scheduled on the alternate date are listed on the registration forms.
Location: Community Music School of Webster University. For GPS, use 8282 Big Bend Blvd, 63119 for address. The official address of the CMS, 535 Garden Ave, takes you to the back of the building where there is no entrance. Parking available in lot K, lot G and the parking garage.

After 1 PM on Sunday and 3PM on Saturday, please park in the upper levels of the Garden St. garage or across Big Bend at the Episcopal Church lot. The Repertory Theater has an afternoon show and their patrons have priority in parking lots K and G.
Registration: Teachers complete one Teacher Registration for all their participating students, then one student registration form for each individual student. The student fee remains $20 per student. There is no studio fee for SLAMTA member teachers.
Non-member teachers may participate in the Sonatina Festival, but must pay a $100 entry fee for their studio in addition to the student registration fees.
ALL participating teachers need to take a monitoring shift; however, a parent, spouse, friend or mature student may substitute. Please report your sub, if using, to the sonatina chair by Wednesday, 2/18/26.
Registration deadline is February 2, 2026 at 11:59 pm.
