Railway Tour

As part of the "Midwinter Magic in Hokitika" festival, the railway is offering a tour of the tracks, terrain and trains. Learn how the railway was built, what the terrain was like, how the tracks were laid. Discover the history of old machinery along the track. You need to be able to walk 700m over mostly even ground. If torrential rain, the tour will be postponed and the Coach House tour will repeat.
