Queer Publishing presents Slow Cooker Writing

Workshop 1: 06/10/2024, 12.00 – 03.00pm

Ingredients: pulling together your ideas and themes, to set you up for writing with intention.

Workshop 2: 03/11/2024, 12.00 – 03.00pm

Low Simmer: bringing your ingredients together to create a piece of writing that fits your desires/tastes/goals as a writer.

Workshop 3; 01/12/2024, 12.00 – 03.00pm

Garnish: editing with care so you can take your writing from early draft to a finished piece.

Where: Richard Street Studios, Rochdale

When: 12.00 – 03.00pm Sunday 6th October, Sunday, 3rd November, Sunday 6th December ( The first Sunday of every month )

At the beginning of your writing journey? Over these workshops learn how to take an idea and transform it into a finished piece of work.

Seasoned writers refine your skill set under the excellent tutelage of Maz Hedgehog. Feel free to bring existing writing with you for discussion and polishing.

· Seasoned LGBTQIA+, closeted queers, and those who are at the beginning of their sexuality and gender journey, with no upper age limit

· Neurodivergent and additional needs aware, can’t spell – still come

· Wheelchair access

· All bathrooms are Gender Neutral and disabled toilets are available

· Snacks and hot drinks provided

Getting there:

Richard Street Studios is a 4-minute walk from Rochdale train station and “Rochdale station” Tram Stop – Making it easy to attend this workshop using public transport.

Manchester to Rochdale train is 9 minutes

Todmorden to Rochdale train is 12 minuets

Trams from greater Manchester and from Rochdale boroughs are available.
