Queen City Queer History Tour #2
About this Event
Queen City Queer History Tour #2
Join historian and Key Holder at the Ohio Lesbian Archives, Becky Mason, for a one-of-a-kind walking tour exploring Cincinnati's rich and often overlooked lesbian and queer history. Beginning at Washington Park, Becky brings to life the stories of early queer pioneers, including drag king Annie Hindle, the Madam of the House of Bamboo, Gale Ross, and the many lesbian activists whose legacies are preserved in the Ohio Lesbian Archives. From the historic theaters and queer spaces of Vine Street to the West End, you'll discover the city's vibrant LGBTQ+ past before ending at the legendary Badlands—arguably the wildest gay bar in Cincinnati history.
