A special edition of Greenways! We're teaming up with Penwith Nature Recording Group to see whats going on in our green spaces!
About this Event

Join us as we discover paths and greenspaces in and around town. Get active, connect with nature and meet lovely people

Join us for a guided walk on one of Penzance Greenways! Our active travel initiative connecting us all to the network of footpaths and green spaces in and around the town.

For this special edition of Greenways we are partnering up with Penwith Nature Recording Group following a loop walk to Alverton Woods. Nick Taylor from PNRG will be giving us a short talk and showing us how to use the Cornwall Wildlife Trust ORKS app to record what we find!

This session is running 10-2 to give us enough time to do the recording, have a good chat and explore our greenspaces! We will be stopping at midday for a lunch break so please bring a packed lunch and a drink.

This walk is classed as easy, but has uphill sections and stiles to cross.

Please be aware that there will be muddy sections and there may be slippy areas due to leaves. We will update on anything you need to know on the day.

Meet time: 10am

Location: Entrance to Penzance Boating Lake

Dress: Good footwear for walking, so trainers or walking shoes. Please dress for the weather; layer up, bring waterproofs and a hat. If you don't have shoes for walking or a waterproof please email [email protected] with notice, and we can provide these.

Bring: A refill water bottle, a flask of tea if you like, something for lunch (we will stop at 12 for something to eat) and a smartphone!
