Learn about the history of pysanky as well as the practical craft of making them with Natasha Sutliff Bade. Participants will decorate two eggs of their own! Held in the RCU Dabble Box Maker Space.
Natasha Sutliff Bade has been teaching English learners in grades K–12 for over 30 years. Growing up, Natasha’s family practiced the art of Pysanky (Ukrainian egg decorating). When she grew up and started her own family, they continued the tradition. She’s excited to share the history, symbolism, and creative art of decorating eggs using this wax-resist method. After all this time, she still loves the moment when her students “melt off the beeswax and see a marvelous surprise!"
