Psychiatric Disabilities in Older Adults (65 and older):
Planning and Solutions for Mental Health, Estates, and Housing
Join the People With Disabilities Foundation (PWDF) for a free 3.5-hour seminar exploring critical issues surrounding mental health in older adults. This seminar builds awareness and educates participants on meaningful support for seniors with mental health disabilities. Attendees will gain insights on common mental health diagnoses at this stage of life, housing options, legal considerations for end-of-life planning, barriers to mental health care, and more. Whether you're a community member, friend, family member, or professional in the mental health or legal field, this seminar offers key knowledge and practical tools to better support older adults.

People With Disabilities Foundation is an IRS approved § 501(c)(3) public non-profit agency. Our Mission is to provide education and advocacy for people with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities, with or without physical disabilities, so that they can achieve equal opportunities in all aspects of life. Continuing education information for in-person attendees:
This course is PENDING approval for 2.25 hours of MCLE in Recognition & Elimination of Bias and 0.5 hours of LSMCLE in Estate Planning, Trust, & Probate Law from the State Bar of California. This course PENDING approval for 3 hours of continuing credit for LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCCs, or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

IV. Mental Health Considerations when Navigating End-of-Life Planning
Host: Speaker: Janet Espey, Esq., Espey Law Offices
Info: Participants will learn key legal aspects of end-of-life planning, gain insights into how mental health can impact the process, explore available supports and potential conflicts, and learn strategies for navigating sensitive conversations around end-of-life care.
V. Securing Homes & Ensuring Rights: Addressing Housing Challenges for Adults
