Professorial Lecture by Professor Fiona Skillen

Join us on December 10, as Professor Fiona Skillen gives a public Lecture on gender equality within sport.
This lecture will explore and celebrate the history of women in sport, as well as how promoting gender equality within our society can help shape and transform the future of women’s sport.
The professorial lecture titled, Sidelined: The problematic history of women’s sport, will take place in the Deeprose Theatre from 5.30-6.30pm.
Professor Skillen is a Professor of History at Glasgow Caledonian University, with research interests that span modern history, sport, gender, health, and cultural changes. Her insights will help illuminate the untold stories of women in sport.
The lecture will appeal to anyone with a keen interest in the history of women’s sport. We look forward to welcoming you to our Glasgow campus on December 10, with registration from 5.00pm. The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception from 6.30pm.
