Professional Practices for Emerging Artists with Jane Skafte

This workshop is designed for emerging artists who want to build the tools and confidence needed to apply for exhibitions, approach galleries, and participate in juried shows. We’ll explore the essential materials every artist needs, including a strong artist statement, professional résumé, artist bio, and portfolio presentation. You’ll learn how to clearly communicate what you create, why you create it, and how to present your work in a way that reflects your artistic vision and professionalism. Participants are encouraged to bring examples of their work and any existing artist materials. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with practical tools and a clearer understanding of how to present yourself and your artwork in the professional art world.
