Private Applicator Training + Exam or Recertification

Join Clemson Extension Commercial Horticulture Agent Rob Last on Monday, September 15, 2025, in room 130 at the Lexington County Clemson Extension office for a Private Applicator Training, Private Pesticide Applicator exam, or recertification training.

Take this opportunity to learn how to apply pesticides safely and legally, test to be licensed to be a private applicator in South Carolina, or gain 3 CEUs if you are already a South Carolina licensed pesticide applicator.

Private applicator licenses are intended for agricultural producers who must purchase, use, or supervise the use of restricted-use pesticides (RUPs) in their operations. This training is not appropriate for homeowners or those seeking a commercial or noncommercial applicator's license.

The licensing exam will be administered immediately following the training.

Participants must be present for the entire training to be eligible to take the licensing exam or sign for recertification credits.

Optional study/reference material: Applicators may purchase the "Applying Pesticides Correctly: A Guide for Private and Commercial Applicators" manual as study/reference material for the exam. Contact your event host or your local Clemson Extension office for purchase information.
