Primary Flag Football Year 5 and 6

Team Requirements: 5 on the pitch and a minimum of 2 from each gender.

Maximum team size is 10 players. Minimum team size is 7 players.

Event Information.

Gumshields are mandatory at the regional event, and we would encourage use of gumshields at our event. Bring your own flag belts if you have them

Basic Rules Below

One forward pass per play. Forward passes don't have to cross Line of Scrimmage.

• A player who receives a handoff or lateral pass behind the LOS can attempt a forward pass.
• NO laterals beyond the LOS.
• Ball must be 'out of hand' prior to QB breaching the LOS.
• The Quarterback has 7 seconds to throw the ball.
• Blitzing defender must be at least 7 yards LOS with arm raised.
• Once hand-off happens any defender, may cross the LOS.
• Offensive players in close proximity to ball carrier must freeze once ball crosses LOS.
• QB may not run beyond the LOS.
• Teams have 30 seconds to snap the ball. Clock starts once official blows whistle.
• Offensive players must be still prior to the snap.
• 1 player may motion (move) at a time and must be moving laterally or backwards.
