Prevention & Management of Violence & Aggression (BILD Accredited)Violence and aggression can occur in a wide range of health and social care settings — and when it does, it can have serious consequences for the people receiving support and for staff. This course provides a practical, structured approach to preventing, recognising and managing challenging situations, helping teams create a safer environment while maintaining professionalism, dignity and respect.
The focus is on building confidence and competence: understanding why incidents happen, communicating effectively under pressure, applying de-escalation strategies, and knowing what to do if behaviour escalates. Where physical skills are included, they are taught with safety, legality and proportionality at the centre, with a clear emphasis on reducing risk and using the least restrictive response possible.
Delivered in line with recognised best practice and accredited through BILD, this programme supports organisations that need evidence-based training aligned to Positive Behaviour Support principles and safer practice.
