Prepare for your recovery. An interactive conversation about pelvic floor health, nourishment, hormones, and life after birth.
About this Event

You’re preparing to meet your baby. Let’s prepare to support you, too.

Join Avonlea Brown, PT, DPT, and Zulianna for a 45-minute interactive conversation about preparing for postpartum before baby arrives.

Together, we’ll explore what recovery can look like, how to plan for support, and where to turn when you have questions about your body after birth.

What we’ll cover:

• Your pelvic floor, core, and recovery: How pregnancy changes your body, what to expect early postpartum, and practical ways to prepare.

• The postpartum transition: A conversation about hormonal changes and the demands of recovery and breastfeeding, including changes in energy, sleep, and libido.

• Rebuilding and nourishing your body: Supporting recovery through food, rest, everyday movement, and a gradual return to exercise.

• “Who do I call for this?”: We’ll talk through concerns like leaking, pelvic heaviness, painful sex, constipation, fatigue, and difficulty returning to exercise—and which providers can help.

You’ll have opportunities to participate in demonstrations, explore a pelvic model, and ask questions during our closing Q&A.

Who is this for?

Expecting moms at any stage of pregnancy who want to feel more informed and supported heading into postpartum. Whether this is your first baby or you’ve been through postpartum before, you’re welcome here.
