Premiere Pro Video Editing Workshop

Madeline will be teaching you the basics of taking a project from start to EXPORT! In Adobe’s Premiere pro, all while keeping your workspace efficient and organized. She will share her favorite editing tools, transitions, and effects to help polish your work. You will learn how to tighten your audio and even add sound effects to create a deep, emotionally inspiring finished product. Whether it be for a professional portfolio, a social media account, or a personal piece of art just for you, you will gain confidence in your ability to produce a meaningful piece of visual content that anyone can connect to. $40.
Class Outline
- Setting up a project (frame rate, aspect ratio, explain that this will be different for different social media platforms)
- Bringing in media (importing video clips, creating bins for organization)
- Add video to timeline and introduce workspace layout and basic editing tools
- Effects (adjusting position, scale, rotation, and opacity) and transitions over/between clips
- Adding text titles over clips
- Basic audio (standard, mono, and 5.1 audio), adjusting volume and adding simple effects
- Export options (either in directly in Premiere, or Media Encoder)
- Understanding video file settings, including video dimensions, formats and codecs, bit-rate, frame rate, and aspect ratio
