Think beautiful handwriting is something you’re either born with or not? Good news! You’re about to prove that wrong.

Join Lettered & Local for Ink Night: The Modern Calligraphy Edition, a beginner-friendly workshop designed to help you learn the fundamentals of modern calligraphy in a relaxed, supportive environment.

We’ll start with the basics. How to hold your pen, create simple strokes, and build letterforms step-by-step so you feel comfortable before moving into full words and phrases. No experience is required, and yes, we really do start from scratch.

You’ll get plenty of guided instruction, hands-on practice, and time to develop your own style at your own pace. Expect a calm, creative atmosphere where mistakes are just part of the process (and usually the part where it suddenly starts clicking).

All supplies are included, and you’ll take your calligraphy kit home so you can keep practicing long after class ends.

By the end of the night, you’ll leave with new skills, a set of beautiful practice pieces, and at least one moment where you look down and think, “Wait… I actually made that.”
