💡🌟 What is Illuminate?🌟💡
For the very first time in Poulsbo, we’re bringing a magical community gathering of 🌟 light, 💦 sea, and connection! Imagine strolling downtown with glowing lanterns ✨, jellyfish 🪼, starfish 🌟, squid 🦑, glowing boats 🚤, paddle boards and kayaks 🌊 glowing with sea creatures 🐠… all while sipping warm drinks ☕️, enjoying evening strolls 🚶♀️🚶, and soaking in a joyful, small-town vibe.
✨ This is a free, alcohol-free event and no sales on site, this one is all about families 👨👩👧, kids 👧🧒, and community 🏡. It’s so kid-friendly that many families even bring their dogs 🐕 dressed up in glowing costumes 🎭💡—because everyone can shine at Illuminate! If you’d like to enjoy a drink, feel free to imbibe at one of Poulsbo’s local restaurants or amazing pubs 🍷🍺✨.
This is not a big festival—just a heartfelt evening where friends 🤗 and neighbors gather to create lasting memories of light and laughter ✨💖.
🌟 Schedule of Magic 🌟
✨ 4:00 – Arrive early, explore, and enjoy the stroll—shop at the local downtown stores 🛍️ and plan to stay for dinner 🍲 or warm up with hot cocoa ☕️ at a cozy Poulsbo restaurant.
✨ Just before twilight ✨ we’ll gather at the Pavilion to light up the waterfront together 🌊💡
✨ When we held Illuminate in Gig Harbor, families had the best time ever 💖—now it’s Poulsbo’s turn to shine! Post your picts and videos to the FB page afterwards, people love to see your costumes!
🎉 Why here? 🎉
We began this tradition began in Gig Harbor 🌊 and has now found a new home in Poulsbo! The City isn’t allowing new large-scale events in the park (to protect the grass 🌱), and being free we do not have the funds for insurance, so this year we’re doing a strolling, grassroots-style celebration—meeting at the Pavilion to stroll and let the light shine together 🌟

Kids love carrying glowing lanterns ✨, and adults too so we can enjoy the waterfront magic 🌊—everyone is welcome!
