Join us for Ewa chce spać/Eve Wants to Sleep (1958) a warm and absurd comedy about a girl who arrives in a strange town the night before school starts and cannot find anywhere to sleep. What follows is one long, increasingly strange night: polite thieves, defeated policemen, and one small disaster after another.
Shot in luminous black and white, it turns an ordinary little town into something closer to a dream. A comedy that has aged beautifully!
