Policy and Legislative Regimes
- Overview of current First Nation land policies and legislative regimes.
- Analysis of how these regimes impact Indigenous land management.
Indigenous Sovereignty
- Importance of asserting sovereignty in land management.
- Successful assertions of sovereignty.
This will be a panel discussion with speakers from a variety of organizations and backgrounds.
Outcomes:
Bridge the information gap in post-secondary education and among the public regarding First Nation land management policies and legislative frameworks.
