This event is part of ESTRADA W CENTRUM, a summer series of free cultural events. This year’s program deeply resonates with the architecture and history of Poznań. The fabric of the historic center, which underwent radical reconstruction after wartime destruction, became a direct inspiration for the invited artists. The post-war modernism visible in the urban space will be clearly reflected in the concepts and content of the upcoming events.
The film is a subtle story set in the American city of Columbus — one of the most recognizable symbols of modernist architecture. Nineteen-year-old Casey has put her college dreams on hold to take care of her mother, a recovering addict. Jin, a translator of American literature, arrives in Columbus to visit his father — a prominent architecture professor who has fallen into a coma. Surrounded by the clean, orderly spaces of the city, their relationship unfolds through deep conversations and shared walks. It is an intimate story about loneliness, connection, and finding one's own path.
