Plein Air in Belmore Park

Get lost in Goulburn's historic architecture at Belmore Park and create an atmospheric streetscape.

During these workshops participants will learn how to interpret complex subjects as simplified tonal areas and represent people and vehicles transiting through the landscape. Participants will explore their surroundings, work at their own pace with support from our Education Officer, and leave with a small-scale painting to cherish or continue at home.

Open to all adults and teens aged 16+ regardless of skill level or style. Oil painting or watercolour materials will be provided for participants by Goulburn Reginal Art Gallery including fold out stools and portable easels. Participants are welcome to supply additional preferred materials from home as an alternative if they wish.

Meet at the fountain at Belmore Park each week. Your course fee covers x2 sessions listed below. Session 1 informs session 2.

Session 1: Tuesday November 10th 1-4pm

Session 2: Tuesday November 17th 1-4pm

Please attend wearing enclosed shoes and appropriate sun protection. This session may be cancelled and rescheduled in the event of severe weather. If rescheduling occurs participants will be offered the opportunity to receive a refund if they can no longer attend.
