Play It Strange Live at the Tuning Fork: raising funds for our Waiata Māori Competition

Four-time Play It Strange finalist Nikau Grace has also joined the line-up for Play It Strange: Live! 🎉
Nikau will join platinum artist Paige, twice Silver Scroll finalist Nat Hutton (There’s A Tuesday), and Play It Strange alumni Rebel Reid, Lily Stiven, Cameron Beattie and Salem Māhia on Wednesday 26 August at The Tuning Fork.
Play It Strange received no dedicated funding for our 2026 Waiata Māori Competition. Our finalists have now been announced and the recording, mastering, judging and mentoring costs are beginning to roll in.
We would love you to join us on the night. Tickets are only $25, the concert is all ages, and because it’s midweek we’ll be wrapped up by 9pm!
If you can’t attend, you can still support us by donating to our campaign or contributing a product to our fundraising hampers. These already include Boh Runga jewellery, BurgerFuel vouchers, fragrances, candles, AS Colour clothing, JBL New Zealand goodies and more.
