AI for Energy and Energy for AI
About this Event
What does AI for energy and energy for AI mean for Aotearoa’s energy future?
The rapid rise of artificial intelligence is creating both opportunities and challenges for the energy sector. AI has the potential to change how we plan, operate and optimise our energy systems — while the growing computing power behind AI is creating significant new demand for electricity and infrastructure. What does AI for energy and energy for AI mean for Aotearoa’s energy future?
Join YEPN Auckland at DLA Piper as we explore both sides of the equation: how AI could help tackle some of the energy sector’s biggest challenges, and how our energy system might need to evolve to support an increasingly AI-powered world.
We’ll kick things off with a short TED-style talk, followed by a panel discussion featuring Matt Copland (Transpower), Simeon du Preez (Tonkin + Taylor), and Tim Thompson (Mercury).
Doors open at 5:00pm. Drinks and nibbles will be provided courtesy of DLA Piper. Register below to secure your spot.
