The Legal Tea is ecstatic to have Ella Shepard joining our students for a session of The Legal Tea. Ella began her career at a large litigation firm in Auckland, working in commercial and Crown prosecution teams. She then spent two years clerking for Justice Cooper and Justice French, successive presidents of Te Kōti Pīra o Aotearoa | the Court of Appeal. She now works as a barrister at a Bankside Chambers. We are thrilled to have her!
We will be exploring their piece "SEEN BUT NOT HEARD: DEFAMATION LAW IN A POST-#METOO WORLD".
Reading this piece is not necessary to attend!
