Join us for a relaxed Sunday steam journey aboard the majestic Locomotive No. 1037 as DownsSteam presents the Pittsworth Pioneer. Travel from Toowoomba Railway Station to the charming town of Pittsworth, where you’ll enjoy two hours to explore, dine, and soak up the local hospitality at the Pioneer Village and Township.
Experience heritage rail travel in comfort, engage with our passionate volunteer crew, and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Darling Downs. Seats are limited – book early to secure your spot!
Itinerary
Arrival at Toowoomba Railway Station: 8:30 AM – 8:45 AM
Departure from Toowoomba Railway Station: 09:00 AM
Arrival in Pittsworth: 11:00 AM
Tour and BBQ Lunch in Pittsworth Pioneer Village: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Return Departure from Pittsworth: 2:00 PM
Arrival Back at Toowoomba Railway Station 4:00 PM
While the train is stationary, light refreshments and drinks will be available for purchase in our dining car.

Information
Guests are strongly encouraged to wear comfortable footwear, as you will be required to walk up to 200 metres between the station and the bus at Pittsworth and Pittsworth Pioneer Village.
When disembarking at Pittsworth, please ensure all personal belongings and equipment is taken with you, as the train will be operating another service between Pittsworrh and Brookstead
Seating: Infants under 2 years old who do not occupy a seat travel free. If you wish to reserve a seat for an infant, please book a child fare. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Note: Due to the heritage nature of our coaches, some seats may not have windows (as indicated on seat maps and tickets). We encourage guests to select their own seats when booking. While we strive to honour seating requests, we may need to reassign seats for operational, safety, or security reasons.
