Come join in making a pine needle hair piece using all natural pine needles locally sourced in Embarrass Mn, harvested by your instructor. Your choice of color in waxed thread and make a hair stick and fancy or and simple as you’d like. By the end of this class you’d be able to wear it home.
*Participants should bring pliers for the needle (if can’t pull though with fingers)
About the Instructor Shirly Horsman: originally from California, her tribe comes from Santa Rosa California, Dry Creek Rancheria band of Pomo Indians. She started beading and weaving when her grandfather past away due to no one else in my family wanting to learn the skill so she asked her uncle to teach her what he knows. They started FaceTiming and he started teaching her. She picked up pine needle weaving on her own with using the natural materials around her.
