Over the past 45 years, the use of medications to treat mental health symptoms has become commonplace, for better or worse. Psychotropic medications, along with Medic*tion-Assisted Treatment (MAT), play a crucial role in the treatment of psychological disorders. Mental health therapies also play a vital role in the treatment of psychological disorders. Choosing the right treatment plan, whether it’s Medic*tion or therapy, should be based on a client’s individual needs and under the supervision of a mental health professional (NIMH). Mental health professionals need information about psychotropic medications, MAT drugs, and drugs of abuse, including their effects, side effects, risks of abuse, dependence, and addiction. This training will serve as a primer, helping professionals understand these aspects and enabling them to assist clients in making informed choices about their treatment planning.
The ADAMHS Board will award the CEUs/RCHs and put into CE Broker within 30 days following the training. Thank you for attending.
