Living life on the Texas prairie was always an adventure!
People persevered through the North Texas winds and summer heat without all the creature comforts we have today. Join us as we explore the lives of the first farmers to inhabit what is now known as the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and investigate the lives of the Penn family and their farm. This walk will be about 0.6 miles along the Penn Farm trail.
When: Saturday, July 18th, 2026 from 1:00pm-2:00pm
Where: Penn Farm Parking Lot
Bring: Water, and a snack if you need one.
Wear: Good shoes for walking and dress for the weather!

Cost: Free with a $7 per person park entry fee or presentation of a Texas State Parks Pass. Children 12 and under are free to enter the park.
