For this workshop, we will be working on making more penguin plushies for children attending Camp New Dawn in August. In this workshop, you can learn to make a magic circle and plushie.
What’s Camp New Dawn?
Camp New Dawn is a grief retreat for children, teens, and families who are struggling with the loss of a loved one.
How we can help:
Tides of Grace will be making gift bags for children attending the camp. The plushies we make will be in the gift bags. 8 penguins have been donated so far; we need 62 more for a total of 70 penguins.
Materials Needed:
-Yarn (3 colors - body, beak, and belly)
-4mm crochet hook
-Stitch marker (not necessary, but recommended)
-10mm safety eyes or black yarn (if embroidered eyes are desired)
-Stuffing
-Tapestry needle
-Scissors
If you don’t have any of these items, don’t worry! We have plenty of supplies that have been donated. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We hope to see you there!
