Seeing Sound by Meraki Gardner - Show Opening

Please join the Queen Anne's County Centre for the Arts for Seeing Sound, a solo exhibition where "real bands save fans, real fans save bands" is the heartbeat under every painting, sculpture, and experience.
Translating the auditory experience of music into physical presence, this body of work asks what happens when a song leaves the auditory realm and becomes something that can be seen and held. Fandom is approached not just as escapism, but as endurance. Music functions as a stabilizing force and a site of belonging, forming emotional architectures between listeners, artists, and crowds.
These shared experiences prove that care can be loud, consistent, and collective, offering connection when language or traditional systems fall short.
Meraki Gardner is a painter, concert-goer, and occasional carpenter who moves through life with a pair of well-worn E7 headphones and steel-toed boots. A recent graduate at the Maine College of Art & Design with a BFA majoring in Painting with a minor in Drawing.
The opening is 6 to 8 pm on June 20th at QACAC (206 S Commerce Street, Centreville MD) , there will be light hor d'oeuvres and libations.
