About this Event

Pen to Paper: A Gestural Drawing Practice for Creative Flow
by Amy Rose Khoshbin
Pen to Paper is an accessible workshop designed to help participants of all ages move beyond perfectionism and reconnect with creativity as a living, embodied practice. Through gestural drawing exercises, mindfulness prompts, and intuitive mark-making, participants learn to trust process over product, discovering how the act of creation itself can become a path to insight.
Drawing is approached expansively: as movement, sensation, rhythm, curiosity, and experimentation. Together we'll explore a lineage that includes automatic drawing, alchemical diagrams, mandalas, and ritual mark-making, practices that trust the hand as a way of reaching what the conscious mind alone cannot. Participants are encouraged to work quickly, playfully, and without judgment, discovering how creative flow emerges when we release expectation and follow impulse.
No prior drawing experience is necessary. This workshop is open to all levels and ages.

We want to welcome families, so please reach out with any questions about family participation. Children 7 and under are free with the purchase of an adult ticket.
