Spend your Sunday afternoon combining gentle movement, playful puppy energy, and plenty of cuddle time at Paws & Poses: Puppy Yoga + Cuddle Social in Austin.

This relaxed two-hour experience begins with a 45-minute, all-levels yoga session while rescue puppies explore the space, wander between yoga mats, meet attendees, and add a little joyful unpredictability to your practice.

Don't worry if your downward dog gets interrupted by an actual dog — that's part of the experience.

After yoga, we'll transition into an open Puppy Cuddle & Social Hour, giving you plenty of time to relax with the puppies, take photos, meet fellow animal lovers, and learn more about supporting local animal rescue efforts.

A Quick Note About Puppy Accidents

Puppies are still learning, so occasional accidents should be expected.

A dedicated spot-cleaning team will be available throughout the event with appropriate cleaning and disinfecting supplies. Any accidents in or around the activity area will be addressed promptly so attendees can continue enjoying the experience comfortably.

We recommend bringing a yoga mat that can be easily wiped clean.

Comfortable Outdoor Setup

Although October typically brings more comfortable conditions to Austin, early afternoon can still be warm.

For this reason, the experience will take place on a fully shaded patio, rather than in direct sunlight.

Industrial fans will provide additional airflow throughout the activity area, and participating puppies will have access to fresh water, designated rest areas, and breaks away from attendee interaction whenever needed.

Animal comfort takes priority over the event schedule.

No Yoga Experience Required

You don't need to be an experienced yogi.

The session is designed to be approachable, casual, and beginner-friendly. The goal isn't perfect poses — it's to move, relax, have fun, and spend time with the puppies.

What to Bring

Please bring:

Your own yoga mat
Water bottle
Comfortable, breathable clothing
A small towel if desired
A willingness to share your yoga space with some very curious puppies

Yoga mats will not be provided.

About the Puppies

Participating puppies will be coordinated with a local animal rescue partner and supervised throughout the event.

The number, breed, age, and individual puppies attending may vary depending on availability, health, temperament, and animal-welfare considerations.

Some participating puppies may be available for adoption. Adoption applications, screening, approval, and associated fees are handled separately by the participating rescue organization.

Animal Welfare

The wellbeing of the puppies always comes first.

Please:

Approach puppies calmly.
Never chase or restrain a puppy.
Ask before picking up a puppy.
Allow sleeping or resting puppies to remain undisturbed.
Keep food away from the puppy activity area.
Follow instructions from rescue volunteers.
Give puppies space when directed by the rescue team.

Puppies may be temporarily removed from the activity area for water, rest, feeding, cooling down, or quiet time.

Limited Capacity

The Puppy Yoga experience is intentionally limited to approximately 30 participants to provide enough space for attendees, puppies, rescue volunteers, and cleaning operations.
