Pathway to Peace: Alleyway Development
Hosted by Your Move MKE, Inc. in partnership with the WI OVP and Neighborhood Improvement Development Corporation (NIDC)
Help us transform an underused unsafe alleyway into a vibrant and secure community space through public art, youth leadership, and neighborhood pride. Join us for three days of painting, creativity, and community as we build a more welcoming South Side together.

Join youth artists, residents, and volunteers as we paint murals and bring the alleyway to life. No experience is necessary—everyone is welcome!
🎉 Community Unveiling Celebration
July 12 | 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Celebrate the completed project with the artists, youth, residents, and community partners who made it possible.

Why This Matters
Pathway to Peace is more than a mural project—it's a community investment. Through art, youth leadership, and neighborhood collaboration, we're transforming overlooked public spaces into places that encourage connection, pride, and positive activity.
This project is part of a larger South Side beautification initiative designed to increase neighborhood engagement, support local artists, and create safer, more welcoming spaces for everyone.
Volunteers Needed!
We're looking for volunteers to help with:
- Painting murals
- Preparing and organizing supplies
- Assisting youth participants
- Setup and cleanup
- Welcoming community members
Whether you can stay for an hour or the entire day, your help makes a difference.
