About this Event

Families will learn construction and painting techniques as they build and decorate birdhouses featuring Talavera designs. They will also explore this traditional folk art, including its history and evolution—from its roots in the Middle East and Spain to its place in the ever-evolving folk-art traditions of Mexico and Latin America.

These workshops are designed for families. We encourage parents and children ages 6-16 to register to participate together. A parent must accompany all children under the age of 16, and no sign-ups will be accepted for children younger than 16 to attend alone.
